Ryotei is an innovative application designed for recording and analyzing travel routes. It caters to the needs of users interested in exploring roads and navigating mountain passes with precision.

One of Ryotei's standout features is its ability to provide elevation details and precise GPS positioning. Users can effortlessly confirm locations where they may have previously lost their way, enhancing confidence during their travels.

When users launch Ryotei, they are greeted with the record list screen, which offers both list and calendar display modes for convenience. The user-friendly interface allows for easy recording, stopping, and accessing additional settings. Customization options are available for recording parameters and display units, including meters, miles, and feet.

The recording capabilities of Ryotei are flexible; sessions can be set to stop automatically after a designated time or can be halted manually. With a maximum recording span of 24 hours, the app consistently tracks vital statistics such as elevation, speed, distance traveled, and both real-time and elapsed time.

The playback functionality includes a dual mode display featuring map and graph views. Users can switch between these formats seamlessly while enjoying support for both landscape and portrait orientations. The map mode indicates travel direction through a dedicated icon, allowing users to navigate their recorded routes visually. Conversely, the graph mode presents elevation and speed through a scrolling line graph, providing an intuitive understanding of travel dynamics. Users can place waypoints on routes within both the map and graph screens. This feature displays essential information such as elapsed time, average speed, and total distance traveled in an organized manner.

The photo-capturing functionality utilizes GPS signals to document locations at which images are taken—this feature is operational only during recording sessions. Each photograph retains metadata including latitude, longitude, elevation, and direction of capture. Map icons indicate photograph locations, providing quick access to visual records alongside their respective details.

For users requiring data export capabilities, Ryotei facilitates sharing lanes and photographs via email in various formats such as KMZ, GPX, CSV, or KML files for dropped pins and waypoints. Additionally, users can import GPX files from compatible applications like Mail, Files, or Dropbox for enhanced data management.
